~Spiritual Sundays~ Though None Go With Me, Still I will Follow

For more Spiritual Sunday post, visit the great blogs linked up HERE.
Way to often I feel like Elijah, crying out to God, wondering if I am the only one!

Am I the only stay-at-home, mom and wife who is committed to her family and enjoys being home?
Am I the only 20 something yr. old who is extremely pro-life and believes that birth control is bad?
Am I the only woman like this around where I live, or in the whole world?
Am I the only one who is grieved at the sinfulness of this country and the thousands of babies that are killed everyday?
Am I the only woman who is God-fearing and trust God with every area of her life and seeks to live daily by His laws?
Praise the Lord that I have my faith and my God! I am comforted knowing that God is here for me and with Him and my family, I am never alone! "Though none go with me, still I will follow"!

I Have Decided to Follow Jesus, even though none may go with, even though the way may be narrow and lonely, with the cross before me, I will put the world behind me! He is my strength and my best friend. God is so Good!
Here are the lyrics to the song, "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus" below (though I have sang some of the verses a little different). May you be comforted knowing that even though you may feel alone at times, God is always there with you! And the rewards for following Him are the greatest!

I have decided, to follow Jesus,
I have decided, to follow Jesus,
I have decided, to follow Jesus,
No turning back, no turning back.

VERSE 2
Though I may wonder, I still will follow,
Though I may wonder, I still will follow,
Though I may wonder, I still will follow,
No turning back, no turning back.

VERSE 3
Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow,
No turning back, no turning back!

VERSE 4
The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me,
No turning back, no turning back!

VERSE 5
Will you decide now, to follow Jesus,
Will you decide now, to follow Jesus,,
Will you decide now, to follow Jesus,,
No turning back, no turning back! "

  1. No you aren't the only one, although I might not be "20-something" anymore, I am out there on the island with you.

  2. I think that we need to be good examples for other women, mom, wifes. Your very blessed that you are able to stay at home with your children. There are so many women who don't have a choice, and then there are those who choose to work who don't have too. My daughter does without a lot of things so she can be a stay at home mom for her two young boys. I respect her choice and pray for her daily.
    God Bless,

  3. Just remember verse 4- The world behind me, the cross before me. God has blessed you and will continue to bless you for your obedience. Have a good week.

  4. No, you are definitely not alone, but as you said and as the song says "still I will follow." There was a time several years ago when we sang this song in church just about every week or so it seemed. Thank you for sharing this with us today.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte

  5. Dead on fantastic post and I REALLY need to hear that...I don't have RL friends and the SAHM's I do know are SAHM for a few months at most and then work, even if they don't need to work, so it's hard not to feel isolated in that way.

The blessing is being a mom, a wife and the kid's teacher-at the same time, it's hard not to feel alone.

Sister, wish we were closer!! I so needed to read this post today.

  6. You aren't the only one. I feel like we are becoming more and more of a minority but not alone yet

  7. There's a island of us..here. It's seems small, because it is. Just like a virtuous woman. On this island were all 20...ish:)

    God bless
