I 'm Back! So Sorry for the absence!

Hey followers, friends and fellow bloggers!

But I do have a lot I need and would like to post! And I hope my computer holds up for me! =)

So here I am! Back on the blog! And looking forward to getting in gear for more giveaways and reviews! ;)

~Music Mondays!~ NeedToBreathe, Jersey Boys and Keith Urban!!

Finally back for Music Monday! Yippee! Great way to start your week! Visit "Saved By Grace" to link up your music or hear more uplifting songs!

Today I have to share three music videos!

If you have been following my blog long, you will have seen that the last few music Monday's I shared some songs by the band, NeedToBreathe"! My little girls love their songs!

This one below, "Lay 'Em Down" came on the radio the other day, and they were very excited to hear it!

It is really a great song! Reminds me of the old pictures and stories of everyone going down to the river for baptism and Church revivals! And that we need to lay everything at the feet of Jesus!!

My girls also love oldies songs! They saw the Jersey boys on Fox news "Huckabee" show a while back and have been singing "Walk Like A man" ever since! Lol! They like this video:

We sometimes listen to Country music, though it is Not my favorite since there are just Too many cheating, broken hurt and drinking songs! But when I heard this song the other day, I just had to hear it again and again! the music (and lyrics) are so pretty! I would love to play this on guitar!

Well there you go! Three music videos! Hope you enjoy at least one of them! lol!

God bless your week!

The monogrammed felt tea set would be a great birthday or Easter present! Also Embroidered kitchen Napkins, totes and much more! It is your one stop shop for unique gifts!
My personal favorites are the aprons, the scrappy shaggy raggy rug, princess checker set and All of the tea sets! Lol! How cute! But I could do all my birthday and Christmas shopping here, easy!

Meet Our Featured Etsy store and Owner!
Here is what owner shared with us:

What inspired the name of your Etsy store? All the names I really wanted for my shop were already taken. Out of pure frustration I said, "Oh Nelly!" I typed it in as a store name and it was accepted!

What inspired you to open an Etsy store? My sister has breast cancer, 6 kids and her husband is a school teacher. I wanted to see if etsy would be a reliable outlet to make some extra cash for her to pay the bills. My first try produced no results and I took everything down from my shop to sell at an auction on behalf of my sister and her family. Recently, I decided to give etsy another try with some helpful insights from a friend who is also an etsy seller. I love to create and etsy gives me a place sell my creations rather than have them pile up in my closet.

Would you like to share a little bit about yourself? I am a stay at home mom of 3 awesome kids! I love to read, travel, sew, dance, be with my family and did I mention sew? I love bright cheery colors and all things whimsical and imaginative.

Big thank you to OhNelly's store who has offered two exciting sets for my bloggers to choose from in a giveaway!

The first set:
Alien Invasion Mini Checkers Set! (mini because it only has 12 playing pieces as opposed to the normal 16). The checker board is made from fabric and is great for floor or table that measures about 15"x15". The playing pieces are wood, painted, glittered and finished with a clear finishing. It comes with a storage bag for the playing pieces.
The second set:
Butterfly Felt Tea Set!
It comes with 7 pieces which include a teapot, 2 tea cups, 2 saucers and 2 cookies. All but the saucers have a pink butterfly embroidered on their fronts. The tea cups are about 2" high and the teapot is about 5 1/2" high.
Now for the Giveaway!

~AllegrasCloset~ Lavendar Tutu Review & Giveaway!

Welcome everyone to my new blog feature....AllegrasCloset!! We have teamed up to offer a great giveaway that is any little girls dream and will bring joy to your heart!
As a mom of girls, AllegrasCloset quickly caught my eye! Like most little girls, mine love to dress up and be and feel pretty! They love to be princesses, and to spin and dance! So when I see pretty dresses, dress up clothes and princess-like clothing, I just have to check it out! At AllegrasCloset you can find the sweetest tutus for your little girl and get one for her doll or teddy bear to match! You can also find beautiful dresses and skirts that will make any little girl feel special and some adorable two-piece sets, etc! The Heather Bailey Dress would be great for Easter! And my oldest would love the Redondo Skirt!

Trying to come up with a good Birthday party or know someone who is? You will want to see the "Birthday Party Pack" of tutus!
This would make an excellent party idea for us, since we know a lot of little girls and they would absolutely Love this! We received a lavender tutu from AllegrasCloset yesterday and my girls were beside themselves with surprise and excitement! It was so wonderful to see their faces and since then, watch them twirl and play! I love how the tutu is one-size that fits ages 6 months to 6 years, so that it fits both my girls and it is very easy to put on and take off.
Meet Our Featured Etsy store and Owner!
Here is what Laurel shared with us about her and her store, AllegrasCloset:

What inspired the name of your Etsy store?
My daughter's name is Allegra, and when I started making clothes it was exclusively for her. So when I needed a "name" for myself, I thought Allegra' Closet fit well.

What insipred you to open your Etsy store?
Before I opened my Etsy store I was really enjoying myself doing craft shows. I loved talking to other crafters, and getting encouragement and feedback and ideas from them. I really wanted to expand and do more shows, but with three children and a part time job, I really couldn't fit anything else into my schedule. When I heard about Etsy I was thrilled to have an online outlet for my creativity. (And another reason to need to buy fabric :)

Would you like to share a little bit about yourself?

I was born and raised in sunny Santa Barbara, CA. I grew up in a very creative atmosphere. My Mom was a seamstress and my Dad an engineer and they always encouraged me to make things rather than buy them. My ballet teacher always used to let up help with the costumes for our performances, and before long I was spending all my free time creating something or another. After high school I moved to Indiana to go to Butler University for Dance Pedagogy. There I was able to help out in the costume shops, learn more sewing techniques, and work with more lovely fabric. I also met my husband Nate while we were at Butler. We were married in 2003, and Allegra came along about a year later. I guess you could say she redirected my sewing and creative habits.

Anything else you would like to share with us?

God has really blessed me in the past few years. We have been so lucky as to have 3 healthy children and another on the way, we have a wonderful church; Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis, and a great creative outlet on Etsy. I hope that all your readers will become familiar with Etsy, even if they don't find what they're looking for in Allegra's Closet, let's all try to support the handmade movement!
I agree! Etsy is a great way to support other moms and families just like you! And if you are not familiar with Etsy, here is a great way to visit and start checking it out!

3. I love all things cooking! Recipes, chef shows, cookware, and my dream kitchen is loaded! Lol!

4. I love the outdoors and being close to God's amazing creation! Gardening, plants, animals, etc!

5. Our two children were born at home and breastfed till they were 17 or 18 months old!

6. I enjoy learning about herbs, natural healing and making home remedies!

"If Mama Ain't.." Best Planner/Devotional Ever!!!!

I found one of the most exciting things today over on Mom Bloggers Club!
It is a planner! Not just any planner though! I have looked at a lot of planners over the past year and none of them seem to be everything I want, plus they cost an arm and leg and I just cannot do that for something I will have to get new every year! But this one Will work!!!! YIPPEE! You really have to check it out!

I think I like every feature on it! This planner is for busy moms who want to plan there days and months AND have their devotional, all in one! With spaces for weekly goals, daily menus, memory verses, daily Bible reading, and motivation!
This planner makes you reflect, start new every month and helps you grow not only as a better planner, but spiritually too!
I am looking forward to using this to help me keep up with my new menu plans, work outs on the Bow Flex, book reading plan AND help me memorize scriptures, focus more on prayer and devotional reading, and develop spiritual habits!
If you would like to check it out and get one for yourself, visit,

Bowflex and Book Reading!

I know I have not been very personal on here lately! That is due to staying busy with homeschool and trying to spend Less time on the computer! Wow! That is hard to do! =(
I hope you all had a Happy New Year and are enjoying all the snow and cold weather! =) We finally got a tiny bit of snow today. The girls are wanting enough to make snowmen and I am hoping for enough that we get to make donuts (a family tradition- make donuts when it snows! See this post Here from last winter for my recipe!!).

I am not one to make new year resolutions usually, but this year, we have a have a Bow Flex Home Gym that has been just sitting in our living room and has only been used maybe a dozen times since we got it several months ago! So I have started one of the work out plans doing 9 different work outs, for 20 mins., three days a week (Mon., Wed., Fri.). I have done it three days and hope to do my fourth tomorrow! Yippee! I am pretty excited about it! I really hope I can stick to it and wonder how long before I get the Bow Flex body? Lol! Actually, I hope it helps me strengthen my back more then anything.

I am also wanting to commit more time to reading this year! I have some good books that I have started and have more I Really want to read, so I have started a "reading schedule"! I was looking for a monthly schedule layout for reading, but could not find one, so I am using THIS schedule for now. I am writing in the days and month and then have six books picked out to read, one a day for six days (Mon.-Sat.), leaving my Sundays open for extra Bible/devotional reading!

The books I have to start with are "Created to Be his Helpmeet" by Debi Pearl (to read on Mon.), Lies Homeschool Moms Believe" by Todd Wilson (for Tues.), "The Joyful Homeschooler" by Mary Hood (for Wed.), "The Mom I want to be" by T. Suzanne Eller (for Thurs.), "A Woman's high Calling" by Elizabeth George (for Fri.), and "The 5000 Year Leap" by W. Cleon Skousen.
As I finish each book, I hope to replace it with a new one! Maybe I will be able to add more books to my shelf this year! That would be great!
I have added a book shelf to my sidebar, from Shelfari for fun too! =)

Neno's Award!!

My dear, online, sister in Christ, "Sunflower Faith" has given me an award! How sweet! I meet Sunflower Faith not long after I started my blogging, almost a year ago. So it is interesting that she gave me this award, that ask, "Why do you love to blog"?!

This should be fun too!
Wow. There are a lot of reasons I love to blog!
One reason I love to blog, is because I am not much of a social person, in person! I do not have a lot of friends that I see or do stuff with. We home-church at the moment, we do not have family very close that we get to see very often, and I am not one who likes to talk on the phone! So blogging has opened up a new world of corresponding and meeting like-minded, Christian, home-schoolers! I have a lot of great sisters-in-Christ now and Praise the Lord for them!
I also love blogging, because it is a way to learn, share, and it is like your own personal way to reach people with your opinion on the news, what is going on in the country today, homeschooling, and just everything! I started blogging because I was concerned that women are just not paying attention to everything going on and they have been in a alternative reality! But now I see a lot of women getting involved, concerned and doing stuff about it!
I pray that my blogging is inspiring and pleasing to my Heavenly Father!

Here are the women and their wonderful blogs that I have picked to give this award to:

God bless you all!
Neno’s Award—-Rules and Regulations

~Music Mondays~ "God will Lift Up Your Head"

I am sorry I missed last Monday....Again!!! UGH! Well, thought I better get over here early this Monday!
Sometimes it is hard for me to pick which song to share! There are just sooo many great ones! I have been thinking of a lot of songs and hymns that come from King David's writings in Psalms, since I have been reading some of the Psalms in my daily Bible reading. Last weekend I was trying to remember a song that comes from Pslams 121, but I could not find it since I could not remember the lady who sang it! oh well!

Then the other day we went with husband to get some solar stuff and while listening to the Dove (94.5), heard this song by Jarsofclay! It is just a wonderful, uplifting song! Hope you enjoy it too!
