Book sellers say that the amount of classics being bought has dropped a lot. More people are buying new books and fewer are buying the old classics.
I think the old classics are an important part of learning literature and teaching our children how things use to be.
I hope my girls get to read a Bunch of the old classics!

I heard about this, too. The thing is, when I buy the classics, I look for older copies, because many of the recently printed versions have been censored.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to find the older versions! I think you can still find them at some book stores and on Amazon though.
ReplyDeleteIt is so crazy that people have to be so PC! I long for the days when we do not have to reword everything for fear of offending someone!
