The Words of Our Founding Father's--Washington Wednesdays
Truly a man of God, the faith and strength of George Washington never ceases to amaze me.
By reading about him, one can clearly see his faith in "Providence"! You can see God's hand at work in the founding and freedom of our country, no one can deny it, it is soo outstanding! You can see how Washington's men, much like the children of Israel, were not soldiers and men of war, experienced in combat! Most were farmers and merchants, men who had never faced flying bullets and strong forces, who far outnumbered them! In the same way the children of Israel, when on their way and entering into the promised land, were not people of war. But God was with them. He blessed them and help them fight their battles and become free people in their promised land! It is amazing to see God's hand at work, with the children of Israel, and with the men who fought and worked to found this country and bring it freedom. The miracles, and the forces that can only come from our great God, are seen everywhere in their daily lives! One can only stop and praise the Lord for the Mighty works He has done for His children!
I hope you enjoy today's quotes!
How true they are. Try applying these to your life!
In Christ,

"There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily."
George Washington
"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." George Washington
"It should be the highest ambition of every American to extend his views beyond himself, and to bear in mind that his conduct will not only affect himself, his country, and his immediate posterity; but that its influence may be co-extensive with the world, and stamp political happiness or misery on ages yet unborn." George Washington
