The Words of Our Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin Fridays--4

As Easter approaches, how many of us will observe just the Holiday and not His precepts?
-Hannah

"How many observe Christ's birth-day! How few, his precepts! O! 'tis easier to keep Holidays than Commandments." -Benjamin Franklin

"Here is my creed: I believe in one God, Creator of the universe. That He governs it by his providence. That He ought to be worshipped. That the most acceptable service we can render to him, is doing good to his other children. That the soul of man is immortal, and will be treated with justice in another life respecting its conduct in this. These I take to be the fundamental Principles of all sound religion." -Benjamin Franklin

  1. Great quotes! I'm going to try to post some more often. Thanks for visiting me; I will check out that board as it sounds up my alley lol.

  2. I've read alot about Benjamin Franklin and I see that he was really turned off to the type of Christianity that sits in pews and does not help his fellow man. It's a lesson to learn that we should be involved in the affairs of men (and government) and not just sit by. Hope you have a wonderful Easter with your family!
